Oil leak
« on: 20 November 2010, 14:45:53 »

I recently had the crankshaft sensor changed and I now appear to have an oil leak from this area .Is it possible for oil to leak from here or is there something else on this side of the engine  that might be the problem

Crankshaft sensor is just above the oil filter housing but the oil could also be coming from the cam cover and running down the head/block.

In case of V6 the crankshaft sensor hole can leak if you have an old sensor. No meaning if you repalce the crankshaft sensor gasket, it will be loss a little oil there. I used a little grey sealant to solve this problem next to the new gasket.
2 of my friends had a same issue.
