My sun roof is alive!
« on: 30 November 2010, 20:27:07 »

For the last month or so my sunroof has been opening and closing on it's own! :o

It only opens to the 1st tilt position for about 5secs then shuts  again. I put it down to the air con not working and the climate control trying to compensate, but I've had the air con fixed and it's still doing it. Only does it once every other day or so. ::)

Anyone got any ideas or is my car haunted ;D

Oh, it's a 2.2DTi on a 52 plate

I have had the same problem for the last 6 months, even came back from a 3 week holiday to find it open and a very wet front seat !! Which confuses me as it is only powered up with the ignition on. Maybe it had just opened as I switched off. ?? I had wondered about putting an extra switch by the the light that cuts the power to the sun roof control unit. Presumably one of the wires showing in the 3rd photo of
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1247486519  could be divided and and a switch put in . I don't use the sunroof that often so it really wouldn't be a hassle to have to flick that on first when using it .
