Well you asked for a picture of the cams so you could make sure they are in the right place (timing set correctly), then you say the timing is set correctly. How do you know? Did you do the job yourself or not?

If the timing is ok, you're getting fuel and a spark, and all connections are back in I can't think of anything else. Does it sound 'normal' when turning over? How long are you turning it over for? Check all your plugs to make sure you are getting a spark, then it could just be the engine is flooded as you say.

I'd try different plugs (not petrol soaked), then foot to the floor and keep on turning it over.

found a pick in search engine, open engine, timing marks and cam's in order, was thinking if the crank sensor wires have snaped some were, would that stop a spark? no banging sounds at all turns easy with plugs out, the pop pop could be the fuel being pumped out un burn't?? to dark and cold to be out -5c at mo just trying to keep warm frezzing turning engine over and over, doing it my self, going to have ago again in morning got battery on charge over night.

I think if the ECU isn't happy with the crank sensor info, it'll disable spark and fuel. So that wouldn't explain what you're seeing.

Are you sure you got the HT leads back onto the DIS in the right order?  I've got a sketch somewhere I can find if you're not 100% sure.

Edit: here you go :

                   Rear of DIS
                 #4            #2
Multiplug
                 #1            #3
                   Front of DIS

thats how plugs are on mine, spark plugs not even a month old, leads about six months old, put the old dispack on that I know is working and give it ago again in morning. leaving battery off for to night on charge never know might be fine in morning after all electric has discharged from ecu etc, fingers crossed.

not to be negative, but you may need to pull the head off again as might have bent valves whilst trying to crank the engine... :-/
