Checked the caliper slides are all free and not seized?
Yes, is the pad wear even, calliper centring on the disc ok....?

Steering idler play....?

Broken spring can be hard to spot...?

Pitman arm on steering box should point straight ahead.

Checked rear brakes and suspension bushes...?(if the pull sensation is not felt through the steering wheel, just a correction)

hi chrisgixer thanks for those trying to beat my mechanic back into his freezing cold garage to check all these remedies, also read a link of yours on another post about steering issues, very helpful.  was getting seriously depressed as but cant thank the forum enough for all the help so far, keep sending the ideas and i will let you all know the minute its solved.  big problem at the minute is test driving in couple of feet of snow!

Guys,5 yrs ago I had an omega with the same problem, passed the MOT BRAKE TEST but pulled to the left under moderate to hard braking - stripped caliper, bled fluid, new pads etc - it was the rear wishbone bush!!

Can we just clarify this, are we talking about the rearward bush on the front wishbone?
Or a bush on the tear trailing arm (sometimes called a wishbone)

Fairly sure we're talking about the reward bush on the front wishbone in this case? Is that right?
Just wanted to clarify, in case of any concussion.

Gotcha.

I'm glad you asked the question then, as I'd completely misunderstood the reply.  :-?

Rearward bush on the front pass side wishbone in jb's case.

Op has replaced the wb's in turn though, and it made no odds. Although he doesn't say what make fitted. I've seen Delphi wishbones cause havoc with steering braking, also complicated by one fitted to one side/not a matching pair.
