3 litre elite with a miss fire

hi all i have a 2001 3.0 litre elite and its developed a miss fire i only noticed it when i came off the motorway when i pulled away it has a slight miss but after it reaches 5 mph or more it goes aways does anyone know what this could be  many thanks Den :'(

Could be a few issues...

Check the plug wells for oil.
Check in the dark (I.E. now!) for any stray arcing.
Check the padding under the skuttle panel for wetness.

Or as you ain't far away, pop over to me in the morning and I'll have a look for you :y

our 2.5 had underload missfire, it was finally cured after replacing plugs, leads,coilpack, rockergaskets and a good clean of the breathers :y
