REDEPLOYEE.............
« on: 19 January 2008, 20:06:18 »

Starting on Monday, was advised a week past thursday she was supposed to start last Monday, but could'nt and I was going to be her line manager :-? :-?, Hang on a minute nowt to do with me, I'm not supposed to be the Customer Relationship Officers' line manager under the new structure.

Anyway she never started on Monday, HR e-mailed me on Monday asking if she had started I replied saying no as she was off sick last week, and has work to finish in her existing role according to her current manager. So HR e-mail me back saying well she should have started on 01/01/08 and she should start immediately. I had to bite my tongue in my response and replied stating that HR had only given two days notice which is insufficient notice for me to prepare work 9for someone I ain't even suppposed to be managing and for a job that the new structure of working is not even operational.

Anyway went off to see my new manager Tuesday morning to discuss, fat lot use he was, i said well how am I suppose to assess someone in 3 weeks against a job that is'nt fully operational. He said just get them doing admin etc., Said to him well ain't my job to manage that role anyway, where's the Cusotmer Relationship manager then (not in post yet >:().

Anyway starts on Monday have managed to sort out plenty work for her, keep her busy and out on site for at least 6 weeks ;D ;D, and to top that my boss gave me another Area to take over in addition to my existing Area - Oh happy days - In real terms thats about 10 million plus pounds worth of major works contracts :( :(

RANT OVER >:(

You really ought to get this off your chest. Can't think where you could do that.  ;)

That won't work I have had it easy the past two years since the last restructure, my workload is now on par with the rest of the Project managers.

In that case, you need a holiday. My advise, take a month off, somewhere where the weather's nice and warm.  8-)
