Engine swap?
« on: 11 January 2011, 07:21:16 »

My dad is selling his 3ltr LPG converted estate, pre facelift.

Is it worth/possible to swap the engine & gearbox into my facelift 2.5ltr saloon?   ::)

What is wrong with your engine?

Might be easier to just swop the gas over if that is the reasoning behind it.

Hi buddy.

Nothing wrong with my engine, as far as I know, lol. It's done 172,000 +, but fancy having a bit more oompf (if thats a word?)
The LPG is a definate plus though.

It is possible to swap the engine and gearbox yes. Swaping the cams is an option like already said, it will improve you 2.5 but still wont be as good as a proper 3.0 engine.
