Rear spring orientation

Do the rear springs on my 2.6 Saloon have to be fitted in a certain direction ie is there a top and bottom

You've not seen the guide then?

No, doesn't matter, but place the spring so the ends are to the rear and out of the wind in case they whistle.

Thanks Chris yes I did read the guide but it does not mention top or bottom. On the guide the photo of the spring shows an arrow and top. The springs I have purchased one has an arrow and top the other one does not have this therefor my question
