Replacing water radiator on M Reg Elite 3.0

Not particularly...just dont break any plastic parts that you need or the aircon rad...its a pretty simple job to do though...make sure you refill the tank with 50/50 antifreeze...

Undoing and temporarily removing the multi-ram ducting (not difficult) makes it considerably easier to get at 'things'.

The metal 'spring clips' that retain the radiator in the side support rubbers and grooves may be rusty/stuck; they will come of with a bit of careful pulling.

If it`s an auto.; be careful not to lose the four, copper washers on the cooler-line banjo unions.

Getting to the (two) thermo-switches and the rear-fan motor to undo the electrical connectors, can be a real knuckle-grazer.

technically  ...... you didn't actually lose yours, you just didn't think to look in the most obvious place.   ::)  ::)  ::)  ::)

well. I seem to of lost one washer, there only seemed to be one on each pipe anyway? these were on the radiator side.

what a ballache of a job though lol.

Unless your pipes were leaking before hand, or you were just very very very lucky that you managed with a washer missing on each pipe, look for a copper washer stuck to either the other side of the banjo or behind the head of the hollow bolt.

what a ballache of a job though lol.

there's a copper washer on each side of each banjo fitting ie 4 washers for the 2 banjos  ;) It wouldn't seal otherwise.  :y

The cooper washer must be attached the bolt then as it wasnt free lol
