On my estate with ones already fitted with electric windows?

Or am i going to be completely wasting my time?

I have window winders at the moment, can i do any checks to see if the loom is already there or will it be a complete ball ache?

I'm assuming if it is then its just a matter of fitting the rear doors and then plug'n'play? Plus the obvious switch change on the drivers door.

Depends if the looms are present at the back door plug. Not a bad job if you have a donor vehicle to swop the parts from.

I would also like to replace my 2 rear doors although I have a saloon and not an estate. How easy is it to remove the 2  door pins from the brackets ? anything else to be considered and/or any tips and special tools needed?  Thanks

Paul, Check connector on driver`s door window switch, will need to have 23 wires connected. Check connector inside bottom of B post (open front & rear door & prise grommet tube out) will need to have 14 wires. If both have required number it`s just plug & play with a 30A maxi fuse fitted in top R/H corner of cabin fuse box. Obviously if youu haven`t got the required number of wires you willl need the relevant looms. Give me a shout.

Check connector inside bottom of B post (open front & rear door & prise grommet tube out) will need to have 14 wires. I've just popped the window switch panel out of the drivers door and it only has (approx) 17 wires?

Will pop the B pillar grommet out and see just for curiosities sake...

Paul, done this mod to my ex tvp beastie.

You will need the following:

2 Rear door looms,
2 Rear window motors,
2 Rear door cards,
1 Drivers door loom, (pita to fit, poss easier with door off :-/)
1 4way window switch,
1 30 amp maxi fuse for fuse box under steering wheel.

Easily done in a day. will be easier to do than to find two white doors with the loom in.

While you're in there, you might as well do the rear interior light upgrade. It is all plug and play stuff except the window motors which are riveted to the doors. Don't overlook the fuse either as you'll waste a chunk of your life trying to work out why the windows don't work.

If you want a hand, bring the bits along to the cambelt meet.

p.s. the main body loom should be a complete elite loom, it's just the toys that plug in that are missing.

I already have the rear door cards, just need the switches for them.

Driver`s......Just the loom entering the door from the multi-plug?
Rears.....same question.........or the loom running behind the sill trim + into the doors?
