the cam sensor was fitted about a week ago and is from vauxhall so don,t no but i suppose it could be possible

thanks rob i will remove the crap aftermarket clean my original and put that back but as for the gearbox do u think it could be low on fluid

4 pots will run with a broken crank sensor but like a bag of spanners.

andy b it was running fine before i did the crank sensor it was changed purely because i couldn,t get rid of the light but i think that could be more to do with the level of fluid in the box or service rather than the crank sensor many thanks for all your help i will change and start again

I believe you're on a hiding to nothing trying to revive an old crank sensor.  :-/

one of the other guys on here suggested i put it back what do u think if the car was running fine before i put this aftermarket in all that was wrong was the car and spanner light was on so sorry so it could be that it was more gearbox related

Before you changed the crank sensor were you getting an 0335 code

rpm signal incorrect, and 2 p1700 codes i do believe

each time we cleared the error codes it would let me do possibly 4 miles the flick the light on then someone suggested it could be the crank sensor after already changing the cam sensor
