I assume you've tried your keys in the driver's door lock?  :-/ Lack of use of manual lock can cause them to become very stiff, loads of lub might help. New batteries might not help if the fob isn't now syncronised with the car ... it's in the hand book  ;) ignition on, press lock on fob, the doors will lock & then immediately unlock, your key should now be sync'd to the car. If it keeps failing to ock/unlock it could be thatthe battery is loose on its circuit board.

I'd say it was an electrical problem to do with the central locking module then. All fuses OK? :-/

This is such a great tip - thanks Andy - saved me having to find someone with tech2 (as was originally suggested) to rebroadcast the key

Key that wouldn't work much now works perfectly.

Cheers! :y :y

I'd probably start by whipping off the drivers door card and make sure all the rods are connected... I've got a vague recollection of a similar problem on a Cavalier when I worked in the workshop and it turned out to be a rod off the C/L motor :-/ :-/
