coolant level ???

Any ideas why the display screen warns ' Coolant level ' when the level is actually fine ? Can the sensor give a false reading? Can it be cured? Cheers

Sensor is just a float which sits in the water and eventually fails. Can't be replaced on its own but a brand new header tank is only about £30 from VX.

If the float is stuck it can sometimes be made to work by giving it a wiggle through the filler cap ... but a new tank is the 100% solution .. :)

Check that the sensor plug underneath the expansion bottle is pushed fully home, as it may just be as simple as a loose plug  :y
