Today fitted aftermarket park sensors with sound and digital display..

Showing which side is more closer to an object and show the distance

in cm s.

Really find them useful..

The only thing I can criticise is they show 0.0 distance when still there

is 15-20 cms..(which is very necessary to use in a crowded parking

places)..

ps: except the sensor holes we dont use any extra hole..Use the original hole near the boot lock..

Ive just the beepy type, no display........work very well.....but like you cem.....they beep max when still about 6ins (15cms) away.....but you soon adapt and learn youve still got 6ins of room left

If I park that close to someone, how much damage will they do to my car if they leave first?

There an aid for reversing.if gap to small that the person behind you may hit you when they move , then park elsewhere

Reality is,

 being a lazy old programmer I wake up late (because I sleep very late)  ,

 go job late    and

parking area is full..So I need some sensitive parking movements  

But I accept the reality if it shows exact 0.0 cm this means you

bump the other car

When on holiday in Spain the other year, it was quite ammusing watching the locals park in the street. They didn't need sensors - when the car in front or behind moved they knew they'd gone far enough!!

I "aquired" a set of Corsa C ones that attach to the number plate. Cut the power plug off at spliced into the Omega loom, just a feed from the reverse lamp bulb and an earth. Work great and no holes in the bumper, Result

No holes in my bumper either...there are sensors in them

I bought a set for SWMBO for Christmas a couple of years ago. In the summer she reversed our Omega estate into the biggest tree in the caravan site, fortunately we had a tow bar so no damage.
Her excuse for not seeing the tree, the dog was in the way! Bl**dy great big conker tree!!!!!!

Now I have a bit of a confession to make. Recently got a Citroen C4 Grande Picasso 7 seat thing, still have an Omega. Have you seen the front of these, thought I would never manage to park it so not only did I have reverse sensors fitted I had them fitted on the front too. Soon got used to it and hardly use them now. Wus, got there before you!!!!!!!!!!!!
