heater hose clips
« on: 05 March 2011, 16:21:59 »

my 2.2 has developed a intermittent water leak and only leaks when car sat still and cool and after a inspection of the area where the water was coming from it looked like the hbv so one was bought after going out to do this job i found the leak to be coming from above the hbv and on closer inspection the top coolant pipe that goes in to the bulkhead seams to be the problem as the hose clip is no complete and there is some slight play in the hoses ie forward and back wards movement this is only slight but with it doing this I'm suspecting tis to be the culprit of my leak at the moment so my question is where can i get a replacement clip/s is it a steelers only part or can i get them else where????
thanks s

the pips do move about a bit but if there is no water marks on it or leaking should be fine, I would check the radator lines as had leak last year and it was the pipe clamp on the top pipe on the rad could not see that the pipe had gone untill pulled the clip off.
