Will these alloys fit my omega
« on: 07 March 2011, 12:59:31 »

I'm taking my 19" snowflakes off my 2002 3.2 elite for a couple of days, for a full refurb and some new tyres. I can't afford to be without the car for any time tho, so I'm on the look out for some cheap alloys for a couple of days. I've come across these, will the tyre profile fit ok. The car will proably cover 200 miles with these alloys on. Thanks

I can't see anywhere in the ad that says all four wheels for sale. the starting price is low for four wheel and tyres :-?, it might be an idea to ask the seller the question before bidding.

not really...
I would say that is for all four.

just because its a low starting price doesnt mean it s worth less.
I start lots of auctions at 99p doesnt mean i think thats all they are worth, or indeed what i want for them.

And the listing says THESE wheels.

'all in good condition apart from one which has a small mark on it'
Sounds like all 4 to me

Offset will be wrong but OK for a few miles

Not sure why you need Irmscher, or 17", but they look good.

The 50 section size 'might' be a tad tight on the front struts.....

Yes I have just seen that alloyguide, and it says that (apart from Nova, Vivaro & one Corsa,) EVERY Vauxhall offset is within the range. From memory I think Vectra wheels are close enough, but to be pedantic, they need spacers and longer studs. I think ET39 is marked on all Omega OE Alloys, but could be wrong. (Your guide says 35-38) The further out the wheel is, the wider the track, and the more wear on your bearings. The further in, the closer they are to the shocks.

I have just had to fit my steel spair and that has ET 33 stamped on it?  What is the ideal ET for a omega as i have a set of 18" fox racing alloys that susposedily came off a calibra but there's no ET markings on them i was thinking about getting some 5mm spacers are they safe to use?  Sorry for hijacking the thread

I always thought omega was same offset as Carlton....ET33
And vectras the same as Cavs.........ET49.
(And Calibra BTW)

I could be wrong of course, I am much more au fait with the early 90's models. On these Basically FWD = ET49, RWD = ET33
Typically +/- 5mm from these figures gives no problem.

(Just checked Vectra Bs are ET44)

As said, the wheels in the E-bay link are from an early Omega Mv6.
Any Vauxhall 5 stud wheel will physically fit on any Vauxhall model with 5 stud hubs... however the off set (how far out the wheel sits in relation to the hub) may be wrong, according to fwd or rwd.
