FL Cd_ Fitting MiniFL Elite Seats
« on: 10 March 2011, 20:54:20 »

As above, I have just learnt that the bolts for front seat are longer, are there any other issues with this I should be aware of?
(Not bothered about rear seat heating....I never sit there)

not obvious but aesthetics, mini-facelift seats look wrong in the facelift, they really do. Seen black leather in dark interior facelift, really did not look right.

As long as you`re not bothered about front seat heating `cause they won`t work either :D.....and the headrests won`t be "active" either

Why's that? Not overconcerned with the front seat heating but why wont it work?

Don't worry about the bolts, I'm sure I can sort some but if you can just measure the thread and let me know how long they are that would be appreciated.

F/L seats have thermostatically controlled heaters (1-5) all others are just on/off

Nah I am well insulated ;)

Ultimately I am sure I can swap the pads from the old seats to the new (or is it just the control circuitry?) but thats a job for another time.

the heating element of a leather seat is integral to the cover.  ::)

TBH main reason I got them is for the leather not the heaters. Like I said I can live without the heaters but if they are there it would be nice.
How about the electric movers?
Are they just plug and play (there is a large unused yellow plug on the present loom) or do I have to splice them in (as I expect)?
