Thanks Woody have left a vm on your mobile.

On that other subject it would be a great help to provide all of us Newbies with a list of specialists (Darth, James, Woody etc) who know their way around an Omega particularly if it included some details of there approximate location within the UK and any specialist knowledge they might have ?

I understand what your saying here mate, but for the Forum too say James/Woody etc are specialists and are in this area is that not The Forum recommending them?
Could that bring trouble to the Forum if there was any problems with any of the work or service they provide for instance?
As it is at the minute Members that have been happy with work put a few words on as a Thank You, that to me seems fair. At the same token if there has been someone thats unhappy then its only fair in my opinion that that is posted too, as long as the "Mechanic" in question has been given a fair crack of the whip to put the problem right.
This has no fingers pointed at The Forum
Unless of course the Mechanic is a legit garage or whatever like the other organisations that advertise on here e.g JPat, Opie Oils.

This is just my opinion mind  ;)

Take your point about the specialisation issue Darth.

Maybe just a list with names and locations on the understanding that those listed are prepared to offer help with a "buyer beware" type of disclaimer ?

Its not that I am desperate for help on a budget, I just want to find someone who I can trust and who knows what they're doing :)

What you want, may or may not be what they want don't forget. If somebody sees a problem they can help with I am sure they will offer, as has happened.  :y might save a load of pm's refusing work if desired.

Is it worth swapping the injector over to another cylinder? See if the fault follows the injector or stays put. Could be a stem seal also. Any slap or tapping from that bank or oil y fumes from exhaust?

Two threads won't help with replies though.  :-/

"Two threads won't help with replies though"

Yeah Chris I've given up with the first part of this thread as I've asked Woody to sort that out hopefully within the next few weeks when he can.

I suppose if we newbies get used to the forums and who is who, then we'll know where to go in the future  :-/

The forum is not st up to work that way andy, if you have a problem with your car you post up the problems for advice from other members, who will will reply. The advice given to you for you to hopfully sort out yourself and not for you to go straight to certain members to come to your rescue with hands on help.

If certain members then pm you with offers of assistance then that is a differant matter, and you sort that with them directly.
The forum is here for help for YOU fix your car.
