Mate, words fail me! I've only skimmed over the surface of all the notable points.

It was an absolute blast!! The only thing I might've done differently would've been to take a we bit of time to do some more sightseeing, y'know, Modena, Rome etc etc. Switzerland is amazing!

Sadly I won't be doing one next year, (frankly I think it'll take me that long to get over this one!), as I have a baby on the way and various other odds and ends. (It actually cost me a little more than I anticipated, but don't tell anyone!)

There were quite a few 'couply' teams on the run this year, so it's not like your wife would feel alienated at all.

One thing to take note of is make sure that all your teammates get on extremely well. 2k miles is a long way to go when you've fallen out!! And yes it did happen, fortunately not to us although we did come close at times!!

I highly recommend doing one before you die!!

BTW, keep an eye out for the BatOmegaBile. It's still kicking around Scotland!!

I /We have already started looking for our car.......though it wont have the design of the Batomegabile  :)

Well there was a team of pretty girls in a pink Volvo, but they seemed to be in tow with a team of blokes in another, what can only be described as camouflaged, Volvo.

Sorry it's taken so long to post some pic's, but here goes.

There's only a few decent one's 'cos the teammate I gave my camera to isn't known for his photographic prowess!!  ::)

How I got the car in February. (Engine gubbed at this point......)

The car lives in Edinburgh with it's new owners. I gave them the Om' after they totalled their Sierra during a game of Dodgems with the orange Montego, (pictured behind the Om' in the Viterbo pic'), in return for bringing my tools etc home. (Reminds me, I need to get all that stuff back!!)

The passes are NOT a great place to discover that you suffer from vertigo, but absolutely stunning nonetheless. The car did admirably both up and down the passes considering we were three up and heavy with luggage, spares and tools. (I'm glad I replaced all the brakes for new items!!), Although I did nearly pull over going up what I thought was a slight incline because the car wouldn't go in anything higher than second gear. I thought there was something wrong until I rounded the bend at the top of the straight to discover that the incline was subject to a bit of an optical illusion and was in fact f*cking steep!!

But the main testamonials to the car was definitely the 140 speedo reading*, (132 by GPS), on the A1 in Italy and the 10:42 it did round the Nurburgring*. Twice!!.

* I wasn't driving incidentally!!  ;)
