You will need some E torx sockets for the crank pulley bolts, I used E11for the crank. and E8 for the belt cover bolts.
A 6mm allen key for the belt tensioner.
The kit I got on line was a Genuine Gm one! for half the dealer price.

only picture I took is this,

But I can Email you the info from my Auto-data file if that helps.

Well by the b'jesus!!! After much head scratching and absorbing the help and info from Geoff's P.M (and the Haynes manual) I now have a new timing belt and waterpump fitted and its running great.....Took me from Midday until 6:30pm to do it (with a break for the Grand National and a bite to eat). I reckon next time round I could do it a lot quicker but I was cleaning everything up as I went and had some trouble getting one of the alan key bolts out of the water pump (lovely technician at Vauxhall rounded it on the last replacement most likely!!) also had some trouble setting the tension as it was to the right of the groove as I looked at it but when I fired it up to check its position when idling it moved left into the groove for 'new' (I assume this is ok and it runs great)....Used the correct torque for all bolts that I put back as per the Haynes bible. Replaced everything in reverse to the way I took it off and to be honest the biggest pain in the a*"e today was getting the rubber hose to the radiator back on (pliers weren't big enough to get around the clip...Had to borrow a set of mole grips of a neighbour and on she went....All in all very surprised that I managed to do it considering I am used to putting it into a garage for the work historically and the fact I had never done something like this before.....

Just want to say thanks for the help and advice especially Geoff for taking the time to send me a p.m with step by step instructions which we're very useful to say the least....

Tomorrows plan of attack is to look at the hand brake as it does not hold at all and to service the auto gearbox despite the lovely people at Arnold Clark (Vauxhall) in Wigan not knowing what gearbox is on my car...Done some research and I reckon its the AF25 but if you guys know different please do let me know....

Thanks again.
