It does on my facelift estate.  There is a little rectangular cap that covers the appropriate recess between the rear Jesus handles and the B pillar.

Dunno about the prefacelift though.....

LD if there's no cover there don't despair. Removing the trim from over the rear door should reveal a comma shaped hole in the metal work about 2" back from the top of the b post. :y

Iirc the metal work there abouts is common to both, as the panel join for the curve of the c post is further back. :-/

anybody know if a facelift dog guard
(specifically this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Omega-Estate-Metal-Dog-Guard-good-condition-/400206844213?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET&hash=item5d2e2fd135

would fit a mini facelift?

I'm carrying a boot full of bags of books around at the moment ('til I get a new van), and want some sort of bulkhead behind me.
I don't think the string ones will be suitable, and I
don't really have the time to weld something up, so this one would be ideal for me, if it'll fit.

Buy it. :y

They're relatively rare, far more use than the string one.

It will fit the earlier estates as the basic body structure, (ie what it slots into), is the same for all Omega bs.

I have the guard with a prefacelift and as mentioned earlier, there is locking points by the rear passengers roof grab handles!  :y

Update:
The ebay item mentioned above arrived yesterday, and fits perfectly.
Now I just need to fix the back seat so it will lay down.

someone has bodged the lock with a BIG bolt.
Hope I don't need to strip the entire upholstery off to fix it  >:(

That's mostly good news. :y

My guide for removing the estate centre seat belt may be of some help if you do need to strip back some of the upholstery. the seat backs come apart readily enough, just take your time and carefully dismantle rather than ripping it to pieces. Obviously, without seeing it I wouldn't like to guess how much dismantling you might need to do.

Good luck,

Al. :y

I've just spent 20 minutes investigating on Google, and it looks like *another* fiddly job.
If I take out the bolt to unlock the seats, then the middle seat belt is going to stop working  >:(

I can put up with the seat staying up for now.
I think  :-/

Yes it does. My Prefacelift Estate can have it fitted behind either set of seats............... :y
