Count down to my holiday

Fly out to Poland on tuesday morning for a week, and can't wait to get away! Any one else off on hols and if so where ya going?

Dover/Calais booked for the 0755 sailing on the 8th July for us, back 3 weeks later on the 29th, south of France also but camping.  :)

dover/calais 11:59 on the 4th july we sail out, returning a week later.

Taking the mobile roadblock to the Tarn Valley, close to Millau

I'll be taking the Meega over this .. but NOT the 'van .. :)

Went over the viaduct last year.....  Cracking view!!

Watched the sky prog on its construction.  From an engineering viewpopint, most interesting.  Built one section then pushed out the next on rollers to meet the pillar then reinforced same and repeat....

Good stuff.....   ;)

i was seriously thinking of taking a detour to travel across this bridge.....
the col du turini is another road i will be travelling on....and if i get time then over to Italy to see if i can find any more that will wor fun driving on...

The missus, she will be say by the pool  ;D

Im off to Warszawa (Warsaw), I'm part Polish (que the Polish chancers jokes!) so I can't wait to go and have a look around. Next time I want to go to Bydgoszcz (say beed-GOSHCH, Polish sz=sh, cz=ch) as thats where my family is from...

now there's a place i would like to visit

i have a list of places i want to see, Poland is one of them.

Russia, Sweden and Greenland are others on the hit list.

a couple of place i want to go and see are Auschwitz & Krakow, horrendous places, but i have always been interested in WW2 and want to go and see these places.

I think it would be a reminder of how decent people can be totally "reprogrammed" to think and act in an inhumane manner. There was something "about he who fails to learn from history is bound to repeat it", and you look at the world today and think "yes, how many times are we going to make the same mistakes".
