glow plug caps removal

Can someone tell me how to get the caps of my glowplugs,i have tried but no way will they come off and i am affraid i will break the caps.

If they are not the type that screw on then there will be a clip at the top, look for ridges either side and squeeze whilst pulling. Sometimes it helps to squeeze the clips and push down before pulling up.

May be get the long nose pliers out, as long as you are careful...

I had the same problem, it felt like they wouldnt come off without breaking ,so i bought some glow plug connecter pliers, :y

You should try working on French cars, their clips really do break before they come off...

I didn't even know they made those, I just use my fingers or long nose pliers!
