V6 cambelt change/ mobile mechanics.
« on: 26 April 2011, 15:21:36 »

Hello all,

Are any mobile mechanics booked to come down to the Home Counties area in the next few weeks please ?

I need my cambelt replaced and an experienced person to show me the way with other wee jobs. Cambelt being the priority.

Many thanks for reading.

Hi Paddy, just noticed your location - just down the road from me (Hoddesdon) :y
Can't help you out mechanically but the guys you need to contact are Darth Loo-Knee or Elite Pete. They're both based oop North but I know they travel around a fair bit. :)

You can't get any better than Loo Nee, pay his petrol, and supply bacon butties, or travel up to Stoke for an oat cake.
Highly recommended. :y

Unfortunately I don't have the expertise to do many jobs on the car myself so I use a very good garage in Hoddesdon called Autocare who have looked after this and my last Omega for years. They get the majority of their spares from Europarts (Geddings Road, Hoddesdon) However, if I do need genuine VX parts,  I use Motorsales in Harlow who are now a VX dealer. Probably the best source of parts (used) is this forum. :y
Let me know if you need any more details. :)

These guys good for cambelt kits - good prices, fast delivery and Contitech kits (OEM manufacturer). :y :y  - just fitted one to the Estate  ;)
