Busy Day, but nothing done
« on: 26 January 2008, 18:37:59 »

Started by updating TIS on the laptop, then updating the Tech2

Took the bodge spark plug out of tractors sump, and let the oil drain.

Put a new drop link on the tractor to see if that was the knock it had developed (before yesterdays fun and games!)

Stuck dehumidifyer in Mrs TB's Rover, as thats damp inside.

Mrs TB's brother turned up with his new (to him) A6 thats as flat as a pancake.  Looks like the turbo may be fubar, but need to check wastegate a bit better first.

Mrs TB's parents then turned up with a sideboard, so had to clear a space in dining room for it.

Got sump plug back in and oil topped up in tractor.

Didn't get round to planned jobs:
Adjusting handbrake on MV6
Tidying up the garage
Sorting out the tools, that are scattered around garage, kitchen, and living room ::)
Going down the tip with loads of metal bits.
Going to dealer to get new discs and pads for MV6 (which I forgot yesterday) and fit.

Went out, tech 2'd both Omegas, just for the hell of it.  No unexpected codes (usual 55 on the engine ecu, hopefully that won't reappear now mv6 has new battery).

Got up......

Went to post office, posted Martins cable back to him, and sent £10 cheque off to Shropshires LPGA to renew membership (so I continue to get 6ppl discount with Countrywide)

Went to fill up with LPG (ran out last night)

Started work at 12.30........just got in......driven 150 miles going in circles......and empty tank again........

AFAIK, anything other than a TDi 90 is VNT not wastegate.  Carbon can jam the vanes.

I went to see Jimmy Carr.  :D

Starting yesterday, ran out of hours @  a furniture warehouse in Bolton. (Newport rd) Resided to the fact i was'nt going to get home on a friday i went for a walk & found a place called Ashy's that did me a Lamb Vindaloo, rice & salad for £4. 2 tins of Stella, bit of telly, bed early.
Woke up this morning  7.10am thinking i was @ home & had overslept....mild panic 'til i remembered i was in the truck & it was Saturday!!! Drove back to Immingham, quick man shop(10 mins.) home, shower, cooked chicken curry for mate & mrs mate, but best of all, went to Tesco on impulse & bought a speaker upgrade thingy for the PC that thumps goodstyle so been playing T Rex, Lou Reed, The Cure, Zep, Metallica, Bowie, Joy Division, Stones & shed loads more! :)
