Good parts departments
« on: 27 January 2008, 10:19:21 »

Just wondered which dealers parts departments are good?

So far the only ones I would recommend are:-

Lookers (formerly Elt Brothers) Yardley Wood Birmingham
Drive Vauxhall, (Andy C on here)

'My' parts department depends on who you get serving you. One of them is good & the other always needs a kick up the 4r$e to get him to serve you with what you want (although I'm slowly training him ;)).

FRF at Swansea are pretty good - but it's the same old chestnut - depends on who actually serves you!

Bridge at Banbury - don't carry a huge range, but very helpful, pleasant, and willing to assist.

Sometimes, sometimes not, the deputy at Worcester is fine.

Problem most of the staff have changed since my late FIL worked there.

Got a trade card now

So far I've only bought wipers and locking wheel nuts, basically simple stuff from Allams of Epsom, but they seem to always have everything in stock.  Looking at the other posts on this topic, all other parts departments are miles away from me.

It's a shame I didn't find this forum earlier, I think a Trade Club card would come in handy over the years!
