Reversing sensors

Is it possible to buy good quality after market reversing sensors? If so any recommendations as to where from, what sort of price are they and how difficult are they to fit? I have them on my Elite and my dad would benefit from having them on his car, tbh is is a Vectra rather than it better big brother but I would imagine that the kits are the same.

I have them fitted to my car. They cost £135 ( I have the bill) and are total crap...... :'(

Added by a previous owner. Whom I assume to be a woman. :y

All the aftermarket ones, be it £15 or £150 aren't brilliant, but do work if you keep the sensors clean IME.  Not a patch on the factory fit ones though  :'(

Would it not be easier and possibly cheaper to acquire the factory fit park pilot system from a breaker? On here possibly?

It has it's own diagnostic system apart from anything else. So if a sensor goes down it's easy enough to diagnose..... In theory, and if aquired with the right colour bumper(be lucky mind) should plug and play I would have thought. Although transporting bumpers is a pita.

I have a facelift rear bumper from Blackie the breaker with the built in sensors. The park pilot box and loom is now with Mr. Entwood though.

My e-bay ones have been fitted for almost 2 years now, cost £19.99 came colour coded (exact match!) & have been trouble free  :y

I fitted a set on my Transit some four years ago and have been a godsend and operated with no problems at all , so much so I have a set already painted to go my estate as soon as I get the chance to remove the bumper and fit them.  ::)
This is  the kit , Cisbo , but not the seller I bought them from.

This is  the kit , Cisbo , but not the seller I bought them from.
Cisbo are the ones I have on the MV6.  Not hugely accurate, and naff if the sensors get dirty.  Had 2 sensors fail as well, fortunately, it was an 8 sensor kit.

On a par with other cheap kits, as said earlier, not a patch on the factory fit ones

I bought a rear set off e-bay about 18 months ago. There are only 2 sensors but it works A1, never had a problem, colour coded & were about £14 inc del.
They must be good caus the mrs has not reversed into anything  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Wasn't there a part of the driving test that covered this?

I distinctly remember having to parallel park for my driving licence and being tested on it.

Friend of mine has fitted these to his mundano .... he is well happy with them ...

This is NOT a recomendation .. I know nowt about them .. I just know his opinion, as they were a consideration when my factory fit ones were being a sod to fix .... now sorted thanks to Albs .. so no need for aftermarket ones of any type .. :)
