The worse I've ever managed over a tank is 16mpg, and that was trying :o
I think mine is uber poorly  :(

I've checked for leaks and tightened up all connections and I can't find any problems. I do think it is a fueling/mapping problem as the power & torque are much reduced when running on gas and the idle is quite lumpy especially when the engine's colder.

Should the stag ecu tap into my lambda probes? Or is that controlled by the injection pulses that are sent out by the engine ecu? As the wires for the lambda probes on the stag ecu are not connected... I may have just answered my own question again  :D
Lamda connections only required to help the calibrator calibrate on that one...

Yep ::) ::)

The Stag software (in theory) doesn't need lambda inputs but you're asking for a whole world of trouble if they aren't ;) ;)

Get them connected up ASAP and if the performance is that badly affected I'd advise you not to use LPG until you've looked at it properly ;)

Ok i'll get them hooked up and see if it makes any difference. I think you're right I should only run on petrol at the moment... or 'liquid gold' as I like to refer to it  ;)

I've got the stag software now, just need a lead!

You don't bother as you wouldn't understand it :-X :-X :P :P ::) ::)

Anyway... You're close enough not to worry too much ;) ;)

But, as above... But the leads seem very expensive on the bay of e ::) ::)

Fair comment :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Through the supplier we use (think they're about £20+VAT) from him but don't quote me on that ::) ::)

Would you like me to try and add one onto my order if it wasn't shipped today? (as that will save you the postage cost ;))

Thanks buddy i'll give them a buzz today  :y

Driving into work this morning on petrol made me realise just how badly the lpg system is performing! On petrol it's so much smoother and more powerful, it feels like effortless power whereas on the lpg it feels like a real effort. The MPG figures on my MID are also much improved, cruising up the M5 today was giving me an instant consumption of between 35 and 45 mpg  :)

In conclusion, I desperately need a Stag lead so that I can plug into the ecu and see what the hell's going on!!

I'll check this again... What's the condition of the plugs, dispack and leads? LPG is more demanding on the HT system and it must be in top condition ;)

I actually think the problem is mixture related from your description but these things need to be checked properly ;)

looks like that ECU has been mounted upside down?

So should yours be. ;)........so should mine be, but currently it isnt. :-[

As in upside down I meant the loom plug should point down, as does mine  ;)  :y
