Air con problem

Hi y`all ... I think in trying to save some money i have caused a bigger problem. Other day i bought one of these cans of refill for the aircon to save a few quid but, in the process i seem to have damaged the valve on the silver pipe coming from behind dash and the little refrigerant left in there has gone.
Question is .. What can i do now and is it expensive/difficult to fix  ??

I've been thinking about doing a DIY regas, would you still recommend that?

Wish i could tell you mate but maybe due to my clumsiness my aircon now is kapuht !

Personally, as these DIY things generally go £30 odd I'd be inclined to pay a little more and let a professional to do it :y :y

For reference, I paid £62 or so for a full re-gas and a replacement valve last week at a place near me :y

The fatal flaw with DIY air con kit is that, whilst you might be able to squirt some refrigerant in, you will have no way to check for leaks, vacuum contaminants out or check the correct amount of refrigerant and oil are present in the system.

Running the system without satisfying ALL of the above may cause further damage. For the extra money, as said, go to someone who knows what they are doing. :y

The valve is similar to a tyre shrader valve and just unscrews. A new one is only a few quid.

Yeah best bet get the valve from vx, that will atleast sort out the valve side of things! Then get a proper ac specialist to di the refil!!  :y
