Just got a quote from Norwich Unions Pay as You Drive policy, they fit a tracker ( FOC ) and bill you monthly, give it a go, the quote was half what I pay now.

Sounds interesting, particularly with spare / extra cars.
Did a check of that compare.com? a couple of nights age for SWMBO.  Galant V624Valve, been with elephant for years Elephant a touch over £400.00, not an exact comparison so I will be in touch with Elephant, More Than £148.00. They have got My dog, they have got my house, looks like they will be getting the cars!

Wild, never heard of that!  Could be tempting in some cases.  Don't use it for a heist or to shuttle between 2 wives though!  ;) ;D

I'd want to know who they sell the data to  :o  Not that it could incriminate me or anything  :-X

.. and is there a cap on what they could charge in a month or can they arbitrarily charge what they like?

I can do better than that. I've got a GPS simulator sitting on my bench at the moment (long story). It's loaded with a scenario to simulate someone standing in the middle of Tokyo in the year 2002 at the moment. That'd confuse 'em!

I am just getting a quote off the pay as you drive people as i type they put the group of the car up by one group because mine is LPG :(

Lets see if they beat my new Elephant price of £290 fully comp.

i do around 4000  a year.

LOL They just worked me out at 4000 miles at £292 a year and i do do more than 4000 it was just a benchmark.

So Elephant still beat them by 2 pounds

Sounds like a good idea in theory (I do very little mileage these days) but I'm not the least bit comfortable with my insurance company knowing when, where, and how fast I'm driving every time I go somewhere in the car.

I'm paying more than that for 5k per year as of my last renewal (November). Might be at least partly to do with having a group 20 car though ::).

Postcode makes a big difference in my experience too.

I had a post on here about insurance as i was not pleased i was paying £320 3rd party and for no reason the next year they put it upto £350 still 3rd party i phoned up to complain and they knocked 10% off so i asked how much for full comp and it was £560 so with the advice of people on here i used confused.com and it found me a quote at elephant for £290 i dont have to tell you how quick i canceled with my insurance company and moved to Elephant
