Replacement Alloy wheels
« on: 26 May 2011, 22:51:00 »

This may have been covered elsewhere, but a quick search did not produce much in the way of results.

I'm thinking of replacing my standard alloy wheels and wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

I'm not looking looking for an extreme look . . just something that will enhance the looks.

I currently have the 16" 5 spoke standard alloys like these

but wondered if anyone had any experiences in this department.

Thanks
John

Suggestions greatfully accepted.

you could always go for the mv6 or elite ones which would enhance the looks? there is a post here showing different models and you could've also seen the alloys!  :y

I changed the 17" MV6 rims on mine recently to 18" multi spokes.

These ones: http://www.elitedirect.com/AlloyWheelsNew/Alloy%20Wheels.php?brand=DIAMOND&model=LUGA&colour1=SILVER&tyre=000000

Car needs a slight drop in height but end result should be to my liking if not too everyone else.

1 - Be carreful to get a decent offset. if you are looking to get then something between 33&37.

2 - Following on from '1', dont bother with vectra or astra wheels as the offset will be too small (wheels tucked under, particularly the rears)

3 - if you go for a 17 inch rim make sure it is 7.5 wide and use 235/45/17

4) If you go for 18 inch then use 235/40/18 (package 225/40/18 will be too small and affect the gearing and look daft)
