Noise from front, bearing failure, guide to change
« on: 03 June 2011, 08:27:58 »

Hello
When I turn right I hear noise from left front weel. When I turn left there is almost not noise at all. When I lift the car up and rotate the front left weel I hear irregular rattle from the wheel. So, I quess that the bearing is broken after 160000 km. Is this typical, is it a big job to change.

When mine failed I bought the bearing but I bailed out & got a local garage to fit it.  :-[

Hello
Left side done, nice job. Took about one hour. Right side to be done tomorrow. Thanks for good tips. I did not install new 32 mm nut to the shaft. All bolts reused as well. Hopefully OK.
