hello i wonder if anyone can help i ave a 3.0 omega auto n it has the habit of going into all the gears alright then it will jump into a lower gear then go back into the gear it was in it confuseing me i have changed the gearbox oil n cleaned the fitter and now have cleaned the gear selector and its still doing it. now comes up on the dash board auto gearbox i really dont knw wot the matter is and hope someone can help me

Does the light for the gear your in come on when in gear or does it flicker or light up more than one gear??

erm well this is the thing all the lights at the side of the gear handle light up diffent now to what it did before and isnt in order if you knw wot i mean

If the lights by the gearbox aren't lighting up correctly then chances are the gearbox selector is still at fault...if you took it off it may need resetting perhaps unless you are sure it was in the same position when you put it back on as when you took it off?? May be possible that the gearbox selector is beyond cleaning and needs replacing...got a replacement here if that's the case

Sadly there my knowledge ends...never had to do it but seen the info on here a few times...perhaps there is a how to on here??

Sorry, this is another topic :

This connector (shown by the red arrow) is full of dirt :



I think I'm to remove it if I want to clean it thoroughly but it seems to be stuck there. I'm afraid to use force.
Can you tell me HOW to remove it without damage ?

(please note : my gearbox is NOT removed! I haven't got much space for the operation)
