Every time I go to the car and turn the igniti8on on the Brake Pad warning appears on the display.
OK so there may be a problem with the pads you would think. NO, there is not because they were crecently renewed, and renewed with the recommended ones and are done as usual at every 5000 miles. I know that may me overcautious but that is just me.
This morning being tired of the same waffle message I removed the warning sensor leads from both of the fronts and to make certain that it would not short again, if it was that,  I cut short the wiring altogether and insulated all of the ends.
That made not one bit of difference because it still does exactly the same.
Does anyone know what component I can or must remove to eradicate this annoyance once and for all?
Just to be clear all of my brake pads and shoes are replaced every 5000 miles with the recommended VX ones. The waer on the disks is also negligable.
No wonder I am bald, its made me tear the last few bits out!!!!

Did you join both ends together on each side :question

No, because I thought that it was a 'connect to complete circuit' type of warning. i.e. the end of one wire when the pad surface had cwarn too far being 'shorted' by touching the disk and completing the circuit. :-/
You reckon I should just join both wires together then once I have cut the end plugs off?

I assume it is a pad wear warning you're getting and not the normal check Brakes warning so it can check the bulbs are working?

Yeh m8, it is the Brake Pad warning light. When the ignition is first turned on the Brakelight warning appears then on the first press of the brake pedal it goes off and stays off.
Reckon its definitely the Brake pad wear sensor that is the problem.

It works the other way round. As the sensor wears through the circuit becomes open ie there's a break in it, which gives the message. As Rob says, if you join the two wires togther from each side that will fool the car into turning the message off.
