Auto Gear Selector Lights
« on: 09 July 2011, 19:39:37 »

Anybody have any idea why the D & P lights on my gear selector panel would go out when i turn my headlights on.
1,2,3 & N light up no problem when selected but D goes out and P flickers.

They light up no problem when my healights are off.
Would a new selector panel cure the problem or is it something else?

Again mate mite be that the smd led's are on the way out ?? I would be getting another set from a breakers on here or from close to home and trying that or you could try and do what i did and open it up and unsolder the old ones and solder in new ones.  The choice is yours fellas.  I know a few of the breakers on here are breaking autos at the mo try darth low knee or elite pete and then there is robg ,brickhead and many many more. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Why would they light up okay then without the headlights on but not with?

Don't know, but I had almost the same fault with mine. All OK when my lights were of, but the leads wouldn't light up with the car's lights on. A 'new' panel cured it.  :y
