Wind Deflectors
« on: 22 May 2010, 16:04:01 »

HI all

Bought some of them plastic wind deflectors that go in the front side windows

Only problem is I dont think they are going to fit because every time I wind the drivers window up its gets so far then stops and goes back down

I know they have the "safety" stop and retreat function, but is there any way around that?

I think with the deflectors in they are offering too much resistnace to the window, and I need to glue them in place yet too.......!!!

Cheers

Martyn

Have you tried Silicone polish? It may just make the difference.   ::)

Sad to say...I got them a while ago also...

Won't fit.  The Poles muffed up there big time. Sent them back and got a refund.

Sorted

just for reference I trimmed about half an inch off of the front leading edge of the deflector

Fits like a glove now and will be glued in place after work tomorrow

Thanks all for the input

Have you any details of where you got them from?
The only ones I have seen are on ebay and a lot dearer than what you paid.

We were visiting the inlaws in Lodz, Poland, my father in law got them from the local car accessory shop

cost me 50 zloty, then the same again to send them to myself in Nottingham cos they were way to big for the suitcases we had

All in less than 20 quid so not bad

Made by a company called Team Heko

Happy to help source them if needed

Cheers
