Couple of questions re this

I've completed my pipe run

I followed the route of the petrol lines, basically routing it along the same route, which seems to go between the chassis, and rear subframe?

I have protected it from potential chaffing and potential exhaust with some heat resistent tubing, so I think all is OK there

I am confused though, as to if there is any movement between the subframe and chassis here?

I can see a handbrake cable runs between the two, for the R/O/S wheel, so I'd have thought this would chafe, if there was?

I'm certain it's fine, just wanted clarification :y

Our pipe runs involve dropping the rear doughnut bush cover plate off... Gayboy normally does the pipe runs so I'm sure he'll comment later :y :y

Yours might not have been certified yet though Mr T, so  :-/

Also, doesn't clearly show its routing around the awkward part.


Mine should be jacked up tomorrow, unless I can bleed the brakes through the wheel, so might take a pic or 2 if I remember

Would be handy to get a couple of pictures of the awkward bit to add to the guide :y :y

Speaking of guides... Must get those pictures off Kevin for the Estate Tank fitting ::) ::)

By the sound if it I did exactly as you did James on my first install. I had to re do it to pass certification.

It's worth attempting certification as is I guess, it may pass with another inspector, but for the record...

As Lazy says, remove the rear donut bush cover plate and with a long quarter inch extension and appropriate screw driver bit in a cordless drill (I have the Hslfords pro tool kit with bit adaptor)screw the p clips outboard of the sub frame and bush, screwing into the raised area for the rear seat iirc. It needs to clear the subframe as this is thought to move and could chafe. So where the petol fuel lines turn in board the LPG ones need to turn outboard around the subframe then along the chassis rail, between the shock and spring then route it from their depending on where the tank is. Or at least that's how we have done all ours so far (5 is it?) and they all passed.

As said it may be worth trying to cert as is? But bare in mind the LPG fuel line may be too short if re routed. Only you can judge depending how far you've got with it  :-/

absolutely accept what you say chris. In reality, handbrake cable is in that location and has not chaffed in 10 years and 120k.. And lpg feed is protected from chafing with an outer sheath... The pipe run is complete, so will see what tinleytech make of it :)

As we know Reality has absolutely cock all to do with it as far as these people are concerned. You know what they're like. Best of luck with it though.  :y

COP 11 is only fit to be used as bog roll ;D ;D

But that is what we have to comply with so no choice >:( ::)

I had an interesting discussion with the chap who inspected mine because he didn't believe me when I pointed out he was talking shite and my car exceeded COP 11 ;D ;D
