You want to turn on the news and see the snow. The A66 (wherever that is as I didn't hear that) has 200 hundred people stranded :o

It's up the road from me - Scotch Corner to Penrith. 8-)

No drama on this side though - it's more likely you'll be stranded by a blown over HGV - 3 yesterday between J36 & J44 M6 in 1 hour :-/

Snow though - yup - love it - 11 Feb and I'll be up to my neck in it - in France - yippee.   Set to be -3 tonight here so I'll make a flask up for my canoeing tomorrow - brass monkeys have nothing on me  ;D

Yep, just the other side to you. -5 tonight just set the heating to stay on all night!!!!!!, are you really going canoeing tomorrow? Most adventurous I will get is Tesco. :D :D :D

Well, It's mrs. KW's birthday today so I've whisked her away to North Devon for the weekend. Great run down dere in the MV6 (won't post any timings just in case, but we left Hampshire at 6 and got here in time for dinner.) ::).

Lovely hotel, just had a fantastic meal, bottle of wine, couple of beers, free wi-fi (can't say the same for the lodgings!) and getting back on topic there has been a little snow this evening. We're far enough off the beaten track that we're certainly stuck here if it decides to pound down. What a shame that'd be.

All set and ready to go.  Should be nearer 0 by 10am so nice and warm as long as I stay topside. 5 miles in 90 minutes should keep me out of trouble for a bit - last time I swam twice and have no intention of doing it again.

I didn't know you were alowed to canoe around Tesco though, I might give it a try  :y

Well I spent most of the day in Southampton where it was a lovely sunny day.

Now just outside Reading and it is a damn cold and clear night.

Snow? Not a chance!  >:(

so it was blatently obvious to the nation that there was gonna be snow, so i ask why the hell were no gritters sent out? where it was safe to do so i enjoyed quite alot of sideways driving, but the A6 thru westhoughton to horwich hadnt been gritted, neither had the carriageways over the M61 at the bolton stadium!!

indeed, I saw gritters on the M40, M25, M4 , both yesterday morning (9 am) on my way IN to London , and last night on my way home (10 Pm)

not the slightest sign of snow, OR rain or anything on any of them , now or then.,
