climate control
« on: 18 July 2011, 16:48:31 »

I used my car for work today, and noticed that there seemed to be very little heat from the heater. So having a little play with it tonight it seems that unless I have it set on HI then all I get from the vents is ice cold (air conditioned) air, the fans seem to be running higher than needed too - 8ish. AUTO + OFF/reset doesn't  have any effect either. I noticed it's been something like this for while but never been convinced one way or another, but now that the a/c is working as it should, it's either brass monkeys or tropical with nothing in between.
Suggestions welcome.  :y  :y

Not really sure.  :-/ I've tried a piece of single ply tissue in front of the fan in the past & it hasn't been pulled to the vent, but when the panel has been removed you could see the fan running. I've just tried the tissue again & no movement, but yet to have removed the centre panel. I'll do it shortly & see what's happening in there.  ;)

should suck in tissue, eg a sinlge ply of bogroll. Prefacelift ones can normally be heard as well.

If you have access to a decent reader, check the live data :y

I predict a trip home via CapnZok's house.  :y

The fan is running, I can hear it running & could see it running after I removed the centre console - it doesn't suck the tissue though.  :-?
