If its creaking/groaning when applying load from 1 side to another ,normally detected at slow speed my bet would be the rear subframe donut bushes are shot.

Good write up in maintenance section on their replacement, but would only advise using good quality replacements though.I doudt the rear drop links would make that sort of noise.

it makes the creaking noise when going over speed bumps and when driving along uneven road surfaces, the atmospheric conditions do determine how loud the creak is lol , when a little cold and damp the worse the noise!

Still sounds like the rear subframe donut bushes.

Have a look under the rear ,just in front of each rear drive wheel and you should be able to see the mounting triangular plate with central bolt going through it and 3 fixing bolts.

If outer housing looks rusty and you can see any splitting in the rubber that is a pretty good telltale of condition of bush.Remember that the rubber will behave different when its cold and also wet so that should be you first area to look at.

Could be a number of things tbh. Also makes me think broken spring with the sharp end digging through the rubber pad and into the metal arm.

Needs an assistant to bounce the rear while checking for the creak location.

had a look at the bushes and springs, the bushes look ok as far as i can tell, but the spring does not look like it is sitting where it is supposed to be at the bottom, ill have the wheel off over the next few days to take a closer look

If memory serves there was a Tech Bulletin about creaking bodywork .. involved bending some metal under the rear seat area to fix. ... I'll see if I can find it later .. :)

My Elite was creaking until I changed both the doughnut bushes and the rusty, leaking self levelling dampers.

As I changed them at the same time I am not sure which was causing the creaking, maybe both had a part to play :-/

:(  should always be replaced in pairs ....  you now have a new one on one side and an old one on t'other ... probable imbalance that can affect handling quite seriously .. :(
