Since I replaced my Dis Pack I have had no kickdown.

I assume this is because I have not properly reconnected the throttle cables on reassembly but I can't see what I have done wrong, it all looks OK.

Anyone got any idea about what I am likely to have done wrong?

I believe the kick down switch on the accelerator cable is up not far from the alarm power sounder ......... never actually looked for or seen it though.

Alex, adjust the cable, should cure it. KD switch is an extremely rare failure

To adjust the cable correctly, adjust it by the throttle butterflys by removing the retaining clip by the mounting clamp, pull the cable sheath towards the bulk head until there is no excess slack (you want a small amount) before replacing the clip to maintain the adjustment

It's electrical isn't it, either on or off? I didn't there was any adjustment.  :-/ :-/

Yep, but the switch is integral to the cable, slack cable = inoperative kickdown

I'd have thought it was more along the lines of ..... kick own switch not plugged in properly = no kick down

Yes, could be, but OP only mentions disconnection of the cable/s, presumably at throttle bodies so it`s a reasonable assumption to suggest that the cable has not been re-adjusted correctly, is it not

Thanks All. I'll have a poke around at the weekend and see what I can find.

I didn't intentionally interfere with any switch but all the cables/pipes were tied up out of the way for clear access to the Dis Pack so I may have done it accidentally.
