I think this might put the cat among the pigeons Marie!! Always lots of differing opinions about this subject.

Personally I think we should. Someone has to sort out terrorists and the like. I know it doesn't seem fair on the members of the armed forces and their families, but at the end of the day that's what they get paid for. If you sign up for any of the armed forces you know you're not signing up for a picnic. Now don't get me wrong as I really do admire the job our guys and girls do in these kind of places and I don't think anyone else could do it better.

And Talibans become a power in that region and threat  ..

The only problem with our guys being out there is the fact that they are so under equipped to do their job properly, I am always reading about the shortage of supplies that they need, apparantly they do not have enough machine guns at the moment and have asked the US for some,only to be labelled the Borrowers and the Pentagon to block it.
Someone needs to do something about terrorists and the like and our troops are doing a great job,but for break sake give them the right tools.

there are many sides of the medalion ,

but these regions are critical places where too many political games

are on the table..Fight for freedom is just the nice reason to send

One important factor I forgot to say..

In middle east , except few countries (you will guess)

mostly they are at the tribe level and not formed within natural

development in history..After the world war 1 and the fall of Ottoman

empire this area is divided into countries by a ruler..

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the original campaign, I think the forces now need to stay until the respective local authorities can safety run their countries and protect their citizens.

So, currently, yes, I do think the forces need to be there.
