Alarm
« on: 10 August 2007, 22:02:21 »

I have a factory fitted alarm on my 2.0 CD 1995, but when the alarm goes off all i get is the sound of a relay clicking but no horn or flashing lights. Does anyone know where it has been disconnected????? Is there a 'normal' disconnection point people use when these alarms start to play up???

Alarm horn and power sounder behind front driver's side suspension turret under scuttle on my facelift.
The obvious way of disabling the indicator flashing would have been to remove the relay but if that's clicking it's probably indeed the fuse that feeds it.

.. then again, the relay probably feeds the indicator signal to the lights too so removing it would have required bridging some conections to maintain indicator function.
