How much should I pay for elite estate
« on: 08 February 2008, 20:44:24 »

Hi
I'm thinking about getting a 3.0 elite estate I have seen one I like but not sure what to offer.
It is 1999 with around 100k I've been told it has full service history so should have belt and rollers done.
It is a standard 3.0 auto estate looks good condition there are a couple of rust spots on 2 doors but not much.
Anybody got any ideas what it is worth.
Cheers

Trouble is the bloke has just said make me an offer but I don't want to offend him, I was thinking of offering £1500 or does that sound too cheap.

It needs to be a good one for that money mate.
Make sure there is proof of the cambelt etc.. and service history and also make sure that the exhaust manifolds are not blowing when you start it from cold.

for reference, I just bought a V reg very late 99 Omega 3.0 V6 Elite estate auto for £1600

full leather interior, with every single bell and whistle & toy available, all working, with full dealer service history, very very tidy,

100K miles, 12 months MOT, 6 months tax, 3 months warranty.

good tyres, drives beautiful, and no it's NOT for sale....

conversely JamesV6CDX, bought my old one, very early 99, 188K(shown, more like 130 real due to swapped speedo)  and a blown head gasket, but otherwise identical car, same spec, same colour, the lot.. ......

for £300 .   then he's probably spent 4 days and £600 fixing it ... but now it's a very nice motor again....    8-) :y
