I am putting an Alpine CDA-9887 in my 2003 estate and want to link in the standard dash display and steering wheel controls.

It seemed pretty straightforward but for some reason Alpine list one interface for 94-99 models and a second for 2000-2002 models with no mention of 2003. My local Alpine dealer, after extolling the virtues of Alpine support hasn't got an answer back from them in 2 weeks so I need confirmation of which unit/cable to use.

Does anyone know whether there is any difference between the 2002 and 2003 models that might affect the display/controls. I don't think there are any and reckon Alpine may have just forgotten that mega production went on past 02, any experts out there who can confirm it?

the interface & connector for the 2000-2002 model is KCE-970B + KWE-972E. I think this is different to the pre-2000 model in that it has mini ISO plug. Will this work on a 2003??? :-/

there was no differenc between the 2002 and 2003 display interface.

You wont be able to get it to work if you have anything other than a MID/TID display (will not work with GID or CID associated with the NCDC or CCRT setups)

The original head unit is a CCR2006 with a standard MID display so presumably the interface that Alpine list for a 2002 model will also work on my 2003.
