Ah well, was worth a try.

Just found an old cassette adapter with the wire/jack plug attached.

Used to use it in my old Diplomat Carlton, plugged the lappy in as an MP3 player and had Autoroute with a blutooth GPS setup.

Was brill a 15" screen sat nav system in the car.

Didnt help in Manchester though, got me there but couldnt get me out again, Autoroute didnt have the one way systems updated and Manchester is sadly lacking street signs and sign info.  Th only 2 signs I thought might have been of use were covered in bird poo.

Talking of Sat Nav.

Not had a paly in the Miggy Elite yet.

It Came with Navtech (Spelling ? Nav tek dunno) 1998.

Is this the only one that works with it or is there annother option.

If so, whickh one is the best to upgrade to.

Also, are they subscription based or just a one off payment when you but the disk.

TIA

The 2 mapping companies are Navteq (formally Navigation Technologies) and Teleatlas.  I believe either can supply a disk, but it is specific to the Carin system (can't just use any old disk).

Many thanks.

I will go check them both out and see what is available.  Assuming both still supply them them that work with the CArin system then which one would be best.

Also do they do them to postcode level

The early CARINs like ours do not do 7 digit postcodes.

I am using a July 07 disk, pretty certain its Navteq, but its raining, so not checking now ;D

Vauxhall UK IRELAND 2007 / 2008 CD70 CD 70 Navteq

£80 Delivered, does that sound like a bargain or is it too exspensive?
