Hello Im after an updated satnav disk for the philips carin satnav unit in my car,it already has the navtech autumn/winter 2001 version

At the moment you are unable to key in post codes on the satnav does the updated disk allow you to do this.

Any help appreciated

Partial post codes. I find it's still better to look for the street, as the unit seems to be easily confuddled when you put the 7 digits of post code in.

I find if I use post codes with a 2005 disc, the unit crashes 1 in 3 times.

Now I just use streets.

For updated maps, you'll need to contact Navteq or Teleatlas.  You need a CARiN one, you may possibly have to go to VDO Dayton, who bought Philips Car Systems around 10yrs ago.

The CARiN unit cannot do 7 digit postcodes, and is pretty rubbish on 5 digit ones anyway.
