Sat Nav just ejects disc

Never have managed to get my Sat nav working , just once it seemed like it was going to work but all it does now is eject the disc when I'm trying to use it guess its not reading disc its a Phillips Carin model mounted in rear of my estate..Does it sound like its cd box thats kaputt?

Have you tried a cleaning disk, not normally recommended, but worth a try.

Nope the disc was legit but looked worse for wear when I removed it !
But not sure if its the correct one its called ....
tele Atlas maps
UK & Ireland
NavigationCD 2006/7
Compatable with VDO dayton

I suppose looking at it now theres isnt anything relating it to Philips :-[

Yes there is !
also other files are  ABSTRACT....BIBLIOGR..carindb....CARINET..COPYRIGH ..plus one folder TPD

right disk then :(

sounds like laser knackered - usually caused with cdrs

 must admit  do have a Tom Tom as needed it for driving all over UK last year with job, but would have been neat to have that running /working in my VX
