i did something very similar, after uni, i drove a '92 Senator 24v 2,200 miles around Europe in 2 weeks.

Went from Oxford to Dover, to Holland, then down to though Germany to Switzerland, then back up though the alps to the south of france, to Paris, then across to Mont le st michael.

If you can make it mont le st michael is really worth a trip.

Make sure you change your crank sensor, allow plenty of time, plan rest stops in the middle of toll roads in France.

Some of them time you between toll entrances and calculate your average speed.

French motorway service food is the best!! Seriously!! i had some of the best grub on our trip at french motorway services.

If the roads are good, large distances are easy in France, i was able to do 90+ a lot of the time.

Get Eurpean break down cover... and take the Ferry as the tunnel sucks.
