tomtom on N95 tv out to siemens ncdc 2015?
« on: 29 June 2008, 15:20:05 »

Any chance of connecting the tv out on nokia N95 mobile phone(it uses white yellow and red av plugs same as you use to plug your playstation into the tv and will displaly exactly what is shown on the phones screen) to my siemens 2015 colour screen? Does the head unit have any aux inputs at all? I know this is a long shot but my mobile has tom tom on it and it would be so nice to get tom tom displayed on my lovely colour screen. I know sweet fa about car stereos so please forgive me if this is a stupid question/s. Also is it poss. to display dvd discs in the satnat dvd slot as on some bmw and audi systems. Probably not but you dont know unless you ask. Cheers

there is, apparently, a mod for cid to do tv, so can probably do something with the output from your gay nokia.

i understand its a right pig to do the mod

The mod requires an RGB source, not a composite video one so won't work with the Nokia but can be hooked up to a DVD or freeview box.

not gay... or out... but my Gay nokia from egay with gay blue leds on it has tom tom,tv,video calling, and video and camera and with wifi, internet connection and is what i am using to post this gay post on this big manly (blue!?!) forum. It also saves me getting out the big manly lap top and cooking my big manly spuds (and turning them gay as well... and blue no doubt) from the heat it kicks out,
Can gay component be converted to big manly rgb? Kiss kiss (the) big boy!
:y
Ps just upgraded to big manly 8gb  version so proving, not gay

And none of those features work too well (unless you have non UK firmware on it) ;)

And no, your composite cannot be easily converted to rgb (possible, but ultimately not worth the effort)

generic! Is that the same? Not done 8gb yet. Changing advanced wifi settings to auto config off and power saving off makes the wifi work as intended. Fairly pants as original settings, so get your drift. You sound suspiciously familiar with said gay item. :-?

You need a composite to RGB converter box and then a further chip to split the sync out to horizontal and vertical.....then you can just feed it in

That'll do it, followed by a slight major modification to the CID unit itself....

As TB says, ultimately a lot of work... or words to that effect

and no other screen more suitable? presumably its (the cid) designed to work with the head unit only?
